Registered Early Childhood Educator - Full Time

About the Position: The role of the Program Worker is to help carry out the day to day operations of the child care centre, helping implement programs for children in care within the requirements of the current curriculum following How Does Learning Happen?
Employment Type: Full Time 35 – 44 hours per week.
Starting Rate:
• Registered Early Childhood Educators – $22.86-$25.86
• On top of the base wage, Registered Early Childhood Educators working in Licensed Child Care receive a $2/hr. Wage Enhancement.
Full-time placement offers: A comprehensive benefits package after 3 months. Additionally, these positions have opportunities to participate in a company matched retirement savings plan after 3 months.
Qualifications:
• College and/or University Diploma/Degree in: Registered Early Childhood Educator – At time of hire
• Current Vulnerable Sector Police Clearance. Valid only if obtained within 6 months or less. – Must have proof of receipt at time of hire (Takes up to 8 weeks to obtain with the police department)
• Immunizations Records – At time of hire
• Standard First Aid/CPRC – Must be valid at time of hire
• Food Handlers – Can obtain during employment
• High Five – Can obtain during employment
• Previous Child Care Experience – Preferred – Can be gained through employment
Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliverables include but are not exclusive to:
• Responsible for care and safety of the children;
• Prepare daily plans for assigned activities consistent with program curriculum handbooks;
• Supervise and instruct children assigned to your group;
• Follow the safe arrival and departure practices;
• Follow the healthy principles of child development, High 5

The BGC Niagara is hiring Before and After School Program Worker’s for assigned locations in the Niagara Region.
Employment type:
• Full Time 35-44 hours per Week
• Part Time 0-34 hours per Week
Starting rate:
• Program Workers – $20.08-$23.08/hr.
• Registered Early Childhood Educators – $22.86- $25.86/hr.
• On top of the base wage, Program Workers working in Licensed Child Care and Ontario After School Programs (OASP) receive a $2/hr. Wage Enhancement

- College and/or University Diploma/Degree in: Child and Youth Worker Diploma/or; Recreation and Leisure Diploma/or; Ontario Teachers College Diploma/or: Registered Early Childhood Educator; – At time of hire
- Registered with the Ontario Teacher College/ College of ECE’s if applicable Diploma. – At time of hire – Proof of membership in good standing
