Starting Rate:
• Registered Early Childhood Educators – $21.86- $22.86
• On top of the base wage, Registered Early Childhood Educators working in Licensed Child Care receive a $2/hr. Wage Enhancement.

Qualifications:

• Immunizations Records – At time of hire

Satellite Supervisor

About the Position: BGC Niagara is seeking a candidate to fill the position of Before and After School Satellite Supervisor in the Boys and Girls Club of Niagara – Dalewood Childcare Centre located at 61 Duncan Dr, St Catharines, Ontario.
Employment type:
- Full Time Hourly 35-44 hours per week
- Regularly scheduled split shifts during instructional school days, with straight shifts on non instructional PD Days and Camps at one of the assigned main Centre locations
Compensation Range:
- $24.50 – $27.50 per hour
- On top of the base wage, the Satellite Supervisor will receive Wage Enhancement of $2/hour
Full-time placement offers: A comprehensive benefits package after probationary period and free fitness pass at the Boys and Girls Club- EJ Freeland Community Centre in Fort Erie. Duties and Responsibilities:
The Satellite Supervisor is responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of licensed childcare programs at the assigned satellite location. The Satellite Supervisor is responsible for the care of the Boys and Girls Club of Niagara property and assets as assigned.
Deliverables include but are not exclusive to:
• Supervision of Licensed Childcare programs in accordance with MEDU guidelines and CCEYA regulations;
• Records are available and filed confidentially as required.
• Qualified and competent employees are trained and supervised;
• Revenue, expenses, purchase orders, invoices are processed and monitored weekly;
• Programs and services are diverse and offered in accordance with project plans
• Course outlines and lesson plans are available for all programs and services;
• Staff are scheduled effectively and efficiently;
• Attendance and participation data reports are submitted monthly;
• Program opening and closing checklists are completed and documented;
• Program space and equipment are clean and in good repair;
• Fire and Emergency Response duties are completed and documented.

Child and Youth Programs
Full Time Aquatics, Recreation and Community Programs Supervisor

About the Position: BGC Niagara is seeking candidates to carry out the duties of Full Time Aquatics, Recreation and Community Programs Supervisor at BGC Niagara – Niagara Falls Centre location (8800 McLeod Road, Niagara Falls).
Position Overview:
The Aquatics, Recreation and Community Programs Supervisor is responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient delivery of aquatics, sport and recreation and community programs and services at the Niagara Falls Centre. The position is accountable to the Aquatics, Recreation and Community Programs Manager. This is a full-time, hourly position with compensation between $22.71-$23.71/hour. It requires at least two years’ experience in programs and leadership and a post-secondary diploma/degree in child and youth, sports and recreation or related field. Experience in budgeting and facility management is an asset.
Qualifications:
• Current Police Clearance with Vulnerable Sector Screen that is obtained within the last 6 months – only required if over the age of 18 (Note: there is currently a 6-8 week delay in processing with the Niagara Regional Police)
• Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C
• National Lifeguard certification
• Lifesaving Swim Instructor certification
• Experience working directly with children and/or delivering children’s programming
• Must provide immunization records
• A valid driver’s license and access to personal vehicle
• HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development (can obtain after hire)
• Food Handler’s certification (can obtain after hire)
• Working knowledge of applicable legislation is an asset
• Certified Pool Operator is an asset
Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliverables include but are not exclusive to:
• Provide customer service, addressing customer concerns.
• Ensure schedules are consistent with annual project plans including length of class, length of session and number of participants accommodated.
• Ensure programs and services are delivered in accordance with organization’s program standards and meet standards of governing bodies, including but not exclusive to Lifesaving Society and applicable provincial sport organizations.
• Ensure course curriculum and supplies are available on site for each program/service delivered.
• Ensure children’s programs and services are delivered in accordance with HIGH FIVE’s Principles of Healthy Child Development.
• Collect and report accurate attendance and participation data monthly.
• Program employees are trained and supervised in practices in connection with health and wellness.
• Facilities and equipment are clean and in good repair;
• Aquatics and Community Centre opening and closing checklists are completed and documented.
• Perform the duties of the Building Supervisor.
