The EJ Freeland Community Fitness Centre offers key services that promote health and wellness. Community members may access the Centre through a unique ‘pay as you go’ system by purchasing one of three ‘Centre Pass’ options. Offered in a family-friendly atmosphere with choice and convenience in mind, community members may purchase:

3-month Pass $144.00/3 months
*Available at the start of a month for the following 3 months
All-Ages Recreation Open Swim $6.00/person OR $8.00/family
When you purchase one of the three Centre Passes, you will have access to the following services:
- Strength training & cardio equipment (weight room) and indoor walking/running track
- Aquafit, lane swim and open swim
- Open gym time and pickleball
- Lockers, change rooms and showers

Fitness Classes
Some or all of these classes may be offered on a seasonal basis.
Qigong
Qigong synchronizes body movements with breath for your overall well-being. The term Qigong is a combination of two words “Qi” which means subtle breath or vital energy and the “gong” which translates to skill cultivated through steady practice. Together the words describe an age-old practice that harnesses the power of breath, movement and intention setting to create health and balance within the body. (Duration 45 minutes)
Cardio Mix
Cardio Mix is a class with a mix of hi/lo cardio of at least 45 minutes in length. The cardio segment may include such elements as traditional cardio, athletics, boot camp or kickboxing exercises. The remainder of the class is spent on total body conditioning, strength and relaxation (Duration 60 minutes)
Bootcamp
Bootcamp workouts can vary. Generally, they will include a fairly intense mix of aerobic, strength training and speed elements within each class session. A boot camp workout is essentially a type of interval training – bursts of intense activity alternated with intervals of lighter activity along with rest periods. (Duration 60 minutes)
Strength
Strength workouts are super-effective in challenging yourself and making the most of your time. Move around the studio/gymnasium challenging your muscles and cardiovascular system to improve your mobility, strength, and stamina. This class consists of a warm-up, a mix of cardio, and strength training exercises. We may enhance your experience by adding hand weights. (Duration 60 minutes)
Gentle Fit
Gentle Fit is a class designed specifically for the mature adult or those who are new to exercise. Recognizing the importance of exercise for maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. Gentle Fit classes employ a variety of exercises and modalities to promote improved strength, endurance, balance and stability. The pace of movement and choice of exercises are designed to provide a workout that is both safe and effective. As with all Group Fitness classes we encourage all participants to challenge themselves by being mindful of the individual’s unique fitness level and health profile. (Duration 45 minutes)
Yoga
Yoga classes can vary. A single class can take on various forms and represent each a different focus and set of characteristics with an emphasis on mental and physical well-being. Some may include concentration, deep breathing and physical poses that can promote a healthy mind, support heart health, increase flexibility, balance, strength and endurance. You can expect an experience that connects the mind, body and spirit. (Duration 60 min)
Dance Fit
Dance Fit is more than just a workout. It incorporates a fitness practice encompassing aspects that include body, mind and soul. Each workout combines a diverse 52 movement system combining dance, martial arts and mindfulness. These movements condition and strengthen the body while transforming the mind. Practiced barefoot, this non impact workout is adaptable to any individual at any age to suit individual needs and abilities leaving those energized, emotionally balanced and mentally clear. (Duration 60 minutes)
Shadow Pump
Shadow Pump is a high-paced training experience that puts your conditioning and strength to the test. Each class has been structured to enhance cardio-fitness, overall strength coordination, flexibility, explosive power while helping to build muscle memory and mindfulness. Combining kickboxing moves with cutting-edge exercises this class is an excellent option for anyone looking to add variety to their workout while throwing in a mix of punches, crosses and uppercuts just to name a few. (Duration 60 minutes)
LiveStrong
LiveStrong is an innovative class using cutting edge programming designed to develop muscular strength and muscular endurance. High-rep strength movements and functional training techniques are the key components to this results-driven workout. Add some dynamic music for motivation and you have a class that’s both challenging and fun. (Duration 60 minutes)
Power Zone
Power Zone is a fusion fitness class that incorporates both strength training and cardio. This class uses weights, plyometric movements, timing, and tempo to burn fat, build muscle and boost metabolism. (Duration 45 minutes)
